Dr. Linda Makepeace

Linda Makepeace was born in Yorkshire in 1961 and is a secondary school geography and extended projects teacher. She has been a teacher for most of her adult life and has a PhD in applied urban hydrology. Before she had a family she worked as a researcher and lecturer at University College London in the Geography Department. Linda has been a committee member of POST for many years, and took the role of Treasurer in 2017, before becoming POST’s first female chairperson at the end of 2018. She has a range of interests including travelling, DIY, giving talks, raising money and being involved with her local church. She has one son, Alex, who is also on the committee of POST.
